A colleague of my friend’s brother (he is 24 years old) invites me to a summer camp for teenagers. He will be a counselor there, and he says let’s go, it will be cool, bonfires, walks, a river, three meals a day. I agreed. But my parents are against it. Like, I’m a young girl and I’ll be raped there. I told him this. He says don’t be afraid, it’s rare there, let’s go, it’ll be a great vacation, you’ll like it. Dad doesn’t mind, but mom doesn’t want to let me go. So what to do? I have already explained to her many times that he is not my boyfriend, he is 7 years older, I am not going to enter into a relationship with him and he is just an acquaintance. If your brother’s colleague invites you there, it means it’s for a reason. You don’t know his thoughts and everything could be, I mean sex, that’s why mom is worried, she’s an adult and knows what happens in life from her own example or from the stories of other people, or she just feels that something might happen.
