Why did porn films appear?

Porn on video has been around for over 100 years
At some point it became an entire industry, that is, a business. Is it really that simple?
Maybe making money isn’t the only reason porn films are created? Let’s figure it out together.
Surely there are other reasons why porn went to the masses.
