In June we went to the sea. I, mom, her lover from the fifth floor, his best friend and their mutual friend Vitya. At sea they kept hitting on my mom, it infuriated me. When they returned home, they no longer reminded us of themselves. But the eldest of them (this massage therapist), who is 50-something years old, began to hit on my mom even more than in the south. Either he stood under the windows, then he unexpectedly came to visit, or he came and invited his mother to go for a walk somewhere. She no longer knew what to do with him. And today he and his friends arrived in cars under our windows, my mother went out onto the balcony, and he proposed to her. So he said: “Vika, I can’t live without you, marry me.” She didn’t agree. Then what seemed to be her lover came, and they all left together somewhere.

This massage therapist is much older than my mother, taller, thicker, and already gray-haired. Why would he marry her?
