I also observed it in the same team. Moreover, in the role of opposing sides there were two dudes of about 25. Both began to show signs of attention to one woman, damn beautiful, about 40 years old, but who had a permanent lover in the same office, and everyone knew about it. These guys were very evenly matched, but that didn’t stop them from fighting after work and breaking each other’s faces (one didn’t even go to work for a couple of days afterwards). There was zero meaning in all this for all parties. Perhaps a woman might have liked that such a “tournament” was organized for her, but she then just shrugged her shoulders in the smoking room and walked away from commenting. Maybe her crown has grown a little, I don’t know. And the dudes, apparently, were pumping in this way which of them was the "alpha" one.
