Distillation, even with double distillation, will never provide such purity and, despite cutting off the heads and tails, the moonshine will contain a certain amount of aldehydes and fusel oils and methyl alcohol itself. In this case, moonshine poisoning does not occur because Ethanol is also an antidote to Methanol...
