When did you get your first period? Under what circumstances did this happen? Were you ready for them? Have you found yourself in an awkward situation because of them? How did you tell your parents about them and how did they react?

They started at 11. I remember it was summer. My stomach hurt, I went to the toilet and noticed blood. I told my mom. Before this, I already knew what mesics were; a couple of friends in my class also started having them before me. Nothing special.
