It’s better not to accept anything for free. If you can pay, it’s better to pay, there will be fewer problems.
They won’t give you an expensive thing, but you can buy something inexpensive yourself.
They will give you something, you will thank them as if it were a good thing, but it will turn out to be cheap bullshit. After some time, you will be asked to provide some service that costs more, and then they will also be asked to return this thing back.
And a free repairman (an acquaintance) will repair it for a penny and break it for a ruble, so you won’t want to see it at all again.
