When I talk about the “current moment,” I still mean at least the last year or two. This list contains films that were so captivating that they forced you to watch them again. Some even more than twice. Different in genre, but they touch the heart.

And please tell us why this particular choice? I haven’t watched any of them except The Pianist, but I’m more into TV series)
I recently watched Match Point for the second time. Also, by the way, about sex and relationships.

all these films can be said to be classics, and perhaps drama. I didn’t watch it the second time, so I have vague memories. Maybe I’m confusing something.

Marion, I didn’t look at the whole selection, but "Giorgino " and "Fur" are really strong films, especially the first one, of course, a masterpiece. "Whether you like it or not," I also watched, Sophie Marceau is a beauty. I started watching "Clément" but couldn’t get through it. The cameraman was very tense, in my opinion, he filmed the whole film drunk, as Jess Franco used to do. Although the theme and message are clear. They will obviously be close to women who look towards boys.

The theme of female drive is attractive here. I’m trying to understand at what point a woman receives the unconditional right to behave without regard to circumstances. And at the same time remain a queen in the eyes of others. "Do you want it or not?" is a similar topic, only within the framework of a typically French comedy. "Summer Lovers" is, in my opinion, almost a fairy-tale story. That case when the plot makes you think that you are being deceived somewhere, but at the same time it is so beautiful that you yourself begin to believe in such a fairy tale (men, it seems to me, will like this film more, because it is FFM). There is no point in talking about Orlando, you just have to watch this extravaganza. "Giorgino" is endless pain, icy cold and cutting steel. The film is so unusual and heartbreaking that I didn’t even manage to watch it in its entirety the first time. Plus Mylene Farmer, for whom I generally breathe unevenly. "It’s time to bloom" is the theme of a love relationship between a teacher and a student, which has always intrigued me from different points of view. I wrote a review of the film on Kinopoisk, but it disappeared somewhere. But I still have my reviews of the films “Clément,” “Close My Eyes,” and “Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus.” In order not to bloat the post, I suggest reading them there. I rarely watch TV series, I don’t have the patience to wait until the last episode. Although I watched Breaking Bad in one sitting.

The Pianist (2002) by Roman Polanski starring Adrien Brody. Powerful film. We should reconsider. Now this needs to be reconsidered, everything can happen again.

Yes, it’s just a similar word in the title. In general, Polanski is a great director. At one time, “Bitter Moon” really hooked me. But the film is a bit heavy.
