No one knows the correct one. A friend of mine had an abortion, and 10 years later she adopted a child, knowing that he was from a dysfunctional family (the father was in prison, the mother drank). He is already 17, a smart boy. She dotes on him. I mean that the children are not to blame.

The children are not to blame, that’s for sure.
But in the version presented by the author there is too much risk and, moreover, not only physical but also psychological.

Often these conditions are caused by heredity. If you give birth to a rapist, you have a non-zero chance of giving birth to at least an unfit person, and at most another thief or rapist. Yes, this is not 100%, there are many examples of the opposite, but this probability exists, and if it is realized, then you will waste your life and possibly create a danger for someone else;
- violence is a strong psychological trauma, and the child will always be with you remind about her. Again, there are exceptions, but for most girls this is tantamount to picking at a deep lacerated wound all their lives;
- there is now more and more evidence that the conditions of a pregnant mother have an impact on the development of the child. You will bear in chronic stress and under the fresh impression of severe psychological trauma. A child born in this state immediately has a reduced chance of a prosperous, happy life. If you experience ambivalent feelings for this child after his birth, then love or hate - his psyche will not thank you.

So, please tell me, are there any rational reasons for leaving such a child? ? Abortion in a normal clinic is now a safe procedure. Emergency contraception is available within walking distance.
