My Swedish friend has a 10-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter who wash and “play” in the bathroom together.

Despite the age difference, I didn’t write the question correctly. If the daughter is 7 years old and the son is half a year old, or the daughter is 10 years old and the son is 16. Or they are both 2-4 years old. Or the daughter is 19 and the son is 10, then why can they wash them together themselves?

My son turned 11 not long ago, I just did mine myself, I think there’s nothing else he should be embarrassed about at that age.

Why be ashamed - it’s a bathhouse. Just on Saturday, the eldest came to our dacha with her son-in-law, grandson (16) and granddaughter (8). we steamed together, relaxed after the steam room together and then washed in pairs (washing room for two). And there is NO embarrassment even close!!! Everyone is naked!

The children washed separately with me, after all, they lived separately. I bathed with my parents until I was 15; my father rented a room in a public bathhouse. My brother washed with us until he was 16 (three years older than me). We weren’t shy.
